MECX was formed on February 2, 2002 by the asset acquisition of ManTech Environmental Corporation (MEC). The formation of MECX enabled the continued development and growth of our environmental practice. Since our inception, MECX has become an innovator in environmental remediation and is recognized worldwide as a leader in on-site treatment of contaminant with in-situ chemical oxidation and ex-situ chemical oxidation applications.
MECX became one of the first Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) in 2003 and has been a leader in this federally-mandated program since its inception. We were also one of the first SDVOSB companies to be CVE-verified. As the first SDVOSB prime contractor for NASA, MECX has been recognized as a small business of the year nominee and was awarded a safety award as a subcontractor for a large prime contract. In addition to the NASA awards, MECX has been awarded prime contracts with U.S. EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Labor and the Veterans Administration.
With our oustanding record and established pattern of innovation, MECX is a subcontractor of choice for numerous commercial and federal government prime contractors. MECX work is divided between the commercial and government sectors. We provide professional services for commercial clients in a wide range of industries associated with the oil industry, manufacturing and property managers/developers.
Ret. U.S. Navy Captain Douglas D. Carvel, P.E. is the President and CEO of MECX and he leads MECX with an undeniable "Can Do" spirit, making MECX the preferred CVE-verified SDVOSB of choice.
